Pharmaceutical Marketing Services for API

The API Innovation Center (APIIC) has partnered with Cork Tree Creative for full-service marketing support. The goal of the APIIC is to secure a reliable U.S. source for lomustine, a chemotherapy drug used to treat aggressive brain cancer called glioblastoma. Unfortunately, there is currently no U.S. source of lomustine, and the sole manufacturer of the drug has recently increased its price, making clinical trials too expensive. Cork Tree Creative provided key support in API’s marketing plan, such as designing and developing a mobile-responsive website, extensive public relations and community outreach, and event planning assistance.

Website Design and Development for APIIC

In order to put the API Innovation Center on the map, Cork Tree Creative developed and designed a mobile responsive, accessible website. The website is a user-friendly hub for news on the drug supply chain as well as other groundbreaking pharmaceutical updates. Additionally, the website is a vital piece in securing grants, reaching partners, and securing members.

API Innovation Center Corporate Event Planning

As part of our event planning services, Cork Tree Creative assisted the API Innovation Center with the ceremonial House Bill 3007 signing with Missouri Governor Mike Parson at the Cortex Innovation Community in St. Louis, Mo. The bill went into effect on July 1, 2022, approving $15 million in grant funding for the advanced manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and semiconductor computer chips. Cork Tree planned and executed the signing event with over 100 attendees and 10 media members present.

The Cork Tree Creative team ran all PR efforts for the event, working directly with Governor Parson's and Mayor Tishaura Jones’ communications teams as well as other key public entities throughout St. Louis. Additionally, we coordinated the press conference, such as drafting a media alert and press release inviting local and national media to attend. The Tree also worked closely with the venue and vendors, including caterers, to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests. Overall, our combined efforts were successful in creating a memorable and engaging event that resulted in over $1.5 million in total online and print publicity.
