Our marketing firm is seeking experienced and talented individuals to join our team in Edwardsville, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri. We are a fast-paced and dynamic marketing agency seeking someone passionate about the industry and with a proven track record of success.

Account Executive

As an Account Executive for our firm, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Managing day-to-day client communications and deliverables
  • Developing strategic public relations and marketing plans tailored to client's business objectives
  • Drafting content for social media, press releases, website pages, blogs, and marketing collateral
  • Coordinating and executing media outreach, social media campaigns, and other marketing initiatives
  • Editing the content of other account executives
  • Working with the web team to efficiently manage the development of new websites for clients
  • Collaborating with our sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our services
  • Providing regular reports and updates to clients on campaign progress and results

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar account executive or client services role in the PR and marketing industry
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective time management skills to be able to set and meet project deadlines
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

Salesperson

As a Salesperson for our firm, you will be responsible for:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities for the firm by actively prospecting and networking
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential clients through consistent follow-ups and communication
  • Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the firm's services and capabilities
  • Understand the client's needs and goals and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements
  • Write proposals and negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and close deals to achieve sales targets
  • Work with the account manager or account team to effectively communicate the new clients' agreed-upon services for onboarding
  • Collaborate with the marketing and public relations team to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and new business opportunities

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a salesperson, preferably in the marketing and public relations industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the firm's services and capabilities
  • Strong negotiation and sales closing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand client's needs and develop tailored solutions

Graphic Designer

As a Graphic Designer for our firm, you will be responsible for:

  • Create quality, engaging designs for clients representing their brand, including logos, brochures, print ads, digital ads, social media graphics, etc.
  • Coordinating with account executives to produce quality design at the specifications outlined by the client
  • Collaborating with other design team members
  • Participate in brainstorming new concepts and campaigns with other team members
  • Participating in team brainstorming and strategy sessions

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Be able to work with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Up to date with current trends and graphic design software
  • Able to manage own workload while also assisting other design team members when needed
  • Create quality, engaging designs for clients representing their brand, including logos, brochures, print ads, digital ads, social media graphics, etc.
  • Coordinating with account executives to produce quality design at the specifications outlined by the client
  • Collaborating with other design team members
  • Participate in brainstorming new concepts and campaigns with other team members
  • Participating in team brainstorming and strategy sessions

Website Designer & Developer

As a Website Design and Developer for our firm, you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with our account executives 
  • Crafting WordPress websites that exceed client expectations
  • Designing and developing websites that are SEO optimized
  • Managing hosting services, conducting maintenance tasks, and implementing necessary updates to websites as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, computer science, development, or design and 2-3 years experience building content management systems, particularly WordPress and/or Joomla
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Excellent web design skills and mockup creations
  • Understanding of plugin integrations
  • Understanding of APIs
  • Testing and Debugging Skills
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS): Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or Joomla
  • Understanding of DNS configuration and management: This includes setting up domain records such as A, CNAME, MX, and TXT records. 
  • Familiarity with various hosting platforms and services
  • Knowledge of security best practices as well as an awareness of common security vulnerabilities and how to mitigate them
  • Basic understanding of FTPS (File Transfer Protocol Secure)
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Internship

We are seeking applicants for our public relations, copywriting, and social media internship. Throw your stereotypical idea of coffee runs and paper-pushing out the window. This paid internship gives you the chance to gain invaluable hands-on experience outside of a classroom setting.

During your time at Cork Tree Creative, you will:

  • Develop social media content
  • Collaborate with our team on strategic planning for clients
  • Compose press releases and blogs
  • Pitch stories to the media
  • Report media hits and coverage
  • Learn SEO tactics, including link-building strategies

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is ready to hit the ground running. We seek upper-level students studying marketing, public relations, mass communications, or other communications-related fields. Impeccable writing and communication skills are a must. While we are flexible with schedules (you are a student first), we do require at least 15-20 hours per week.
